Our Creative Writing curriculum turns students into young authors. Every week, students will compose a short, original story limited only by the size of their imaginations. Students will travel to distant lands, impersonate characters, and invent their own plots lines at every level of this course. Each lesson is accompanied by a fun, skills-building warm-up to help teach new English grammar and vocabulary or literary devices. Advanced levels will also incorporate literary analysis and help students perfect their stories to publishable quality. Creative Writing students will have regular opportunities to enter their own original works into international story-writing competitions.
Students in the early stages of reading will build phonics skills and sight words through fun, colourful exercises. Our Early Readers will practice the basic skills of letter formation and blending while learning to approach books confidently and with joy.

Students may begin with “a- a- apple”, learning to recognise the sounds of letters, or dive in with more complex digraphs, blending sounds into words, or familiarising themselves with the most common words in English: sight words.
Students will build their skills through a variety of alphabet, phonics, and sight word games. Teachers will work with the student to select a fun book to begin reading every class to promote a love and excitement for reading.
