Tom West, Instructor, is from the United Kingdom. He holds a B.A. in English and History from Keele University. At Keele, Tom was awarded the university’s Donald Nicholl Prize for top marks in History courses.

Tom has five years’ experience teaching English in China, as well as educational writing experience. He began his career tutoring aspiring journalists and international students for the Shanghai Students’ Post, and he wrote articles for that publication on current events. He also taught English at Jiaotong University (上海交通大學) and Sanda University (上海杉達學院), and he wrote for and edited university preparatory textbooks for Chinese students.
